Students Council
Introduction:
The student council is the most prominent student body and plays a paramount role in representing the interests, concerns and issues of the students. The Student Council plays a crucial role in the functioning of the institution. It acts as a bridge between the students and the institution. It plays a proactive role in initiating, planning, organizing and initiating various activities and events aligning with the vision and mission of the institution. Thus, the student council of RCERW is a significant student representative body providing avenues to the students to engage actively and meaningfully in the functioning of the institution and work collaboratively with the management, faculty and fellow students to enhance their overall college experience and contribute towards the achievement of the vision and mission of the institution.
General Objectives of Student Council:
- Representing Students’ Interest: to act as a voice for students in representing their issues and concerns.
- Fostering vision and mission of the institution: to organize events and activities to promote vision and mission of the institution.
- Maintaining discipline: to act as a vigilant body in maintaining the rules and regulations, code of conduct and upholding values and policies of the institution.
- Promoting Student involvement: to encourage students’ participation in different on- campus and off- campus activities
- Supporting students’ well-being: to address students’ concerns and provide support for academic, personal and social issues
- Establishing communication between faculty and students: to act as a bridge between students and faculty about council activities, events and decision.
- Building community relationships: to establish positive relationship between students, parents, teachers and the broader community
- Developing leadership: to provide opportunities to inculcate leadership, communication and problem solving skills among students

Role of CR: CR plays a pivotal role in connecting student with faculty and administration. The key responsibilities of a CR are:
- Communication: Act as a bridge between students, professors and principal.
- Representing students’ interest: voicing the concerns, issues, suggestions, ideas to faculty and administration
- Organizing class events: Planning, executing and evaluating events of national and social importance
- Academic support: facilitating communication between students and professors regarding academic matters.
- Feedback collection: gathering feedback from classmates to improve college experiences
- Transparency: keeping the batch-mates informed about the important announcements.
- Leadership: leading and motivating batch mates to participate in college experiences
- Team-work: Collaborating with others to plan, organize and execute tasks, assignments and activities
- Problem solving: addressing and resolving class related issues, concerns, conflicts.
- Student advocacy: supporting students facing challenges and issues and connecting them with resources
- Membership of different college committees: being a member of different institutional committees for the democratic, effective and smooth functioning of the institution
Role of ACR: ACR supports the CR in their duties and plays a vital role in maintaining a pleasant environment. The key responsibilities of an ACR are:
- Supporting the CR: Assisting the CR with tasks, events, and decision-making processes.
- Communication: Helping to disseminate information to classmates.
- Event organization: Assisting with planning and executing class events.
- Student support: Providing additional support and guidance to classmates.
- Feedback collection: Helping to gather student feedback and concerns.
- Teamwork: Collaborating with the CR, other ACs, and student organizations.
- Leadership development: Developing leadership skills and gaining experience.
- Class engagement: Encouraging participation and engagement among classmates.
- Conflict resolution: Assisting in resolving conflicts or issues within the class.
- Representation: Representing the class in meetings or events when the CR is unavailable.
By fulfilling these responsibilities, Assistant Class Representative helps to:
– Ensure a smooth and effective class operation
– Foster a sense of community and inclusivity
– Provide additional support to classmates
– Develop leadership skills and experience
– Enhance the overall class experience
5 House Leaders: All the students are divided into 5 houses representing the elements of nature. One student is appointed as Leader of the house.

Responsibility of a House Leader:
- To act as the official spokesperson of the house
- To act as the representative of the house
- To ensure the active participation of the House members in all the activities
- To act as a bridge between the Students and the CR and ACR and, Faculty
- To induce the team spirit and motivation among the house members
- Delegating duties to house members for the House Activities
PR (Public Relations) Team: PR team members are selected among the students who are tech savvy with good communication skills, to act as a bridge between the institution and the society. They are responsible for building and promoting the strong and healthy relationship between the institution and the society.
Responsibilities of PR team members:
- Build strong and positive relations between the institution and broader community
- Delegating the responsibilities of Reporting of events among students.
- Checking the Reports of events submitted by the students.
- Submitting the reports to the concerned Faculty Incharge.
- Contributing towards the publication of in-house magazines and newsletter
- Promoting the vision and mission of the institution on different social media platforms.
- Creating the videos, reels, stories on the initiatives taken and activities conducted by the institution
- Posting about the events and activities on social media platforms.
